Drink & Draw is a recurring, community-based drawing series held monthly in Antwerp, developed in collaboration with TUIG. Each session is hosted by me as the initiating and facilitating artist.
The project creates a shared drawing space where participants gather around a table to draw, observe, and connect in an informal setting. Rather than functioning as a workshop or class, Drink & Draw is designed as an open-format social practice—prioritizing process, presence, and collective experience over technical outcomes.
As the host artist, I curate the atmosphere, rhythm, and structure of each session: from spatial setup and materials to the flow of interaction at the table. The gatherings are intentionally low-threshold and inclusive, welcoming both artists and non-artists, locals and newcomers.
Developed within Antwerp’s diverse cultural context, the project responds to the need for accessible creative spaces that encourage exchange across disciplines and backgrounds. Drawing becomes a shared language—used as a tool for conversation, reflection, and connection.
Drink & Draw functions as a long-term social art project, positioning drawing not as a solitary act, but as a shared experience embedded in place and community.
